Series: Courageous Leadership
Matthew 17:1-9
Without guidance and direction, we run the risk of simply wandering around aimlessly – or worst yet, that we might become lost. The spiritual discipline of prayer focuses us on God and the things of God, while worship allows us the opportunity to be transformed in body of believers for the work God intends for our lives.

It can happen in our marriages, our jobs, or even our churches. The desire for every aspect of our lives to be exactly as we envisioned them can cause us to miss out on the “God” sightings and opportunities all around us.

They recognize the change in people’s lives when they encounter Jesus, but are sometimes more comfortable to be near ministry rather than in the midst of it.
- Aug 4, 2019Convergent to DivergentAug 4, 2019Convergent to DivergentBy: Todd SalzwedelSeries: Into the Wilderness1 Corinthians 1:10-17We live in a time when setting yourself apart from others is a virtue to be sought. In doing so, we often give the impression that we are elevating ourselves above others. This seems contrary to the example of Jesus who came as the humble servant leader.

- Jul 14, 2019From Group to IndividualJul 14, 2019From Group to IndividualBy: Todd SalzwedelSeries: Into the WildernessActs 11: 1-14 In studying the history of the church, we can notice many unique trends. One is the phenomenal way in which we as individuals are taught our culture, our values, and our faith by the larger “group”. The inverse is also true, in that we tend to focus on the individual more than group. Is this how scripture teaches us to behave and live?
- Jul 7, 2019The Faith of our ForefathersJul 7, 2019The Faith of our ForefathersBy: Todd SalzwedelSeries: Into the Wilderness1 Samuel 16:1-6 Statements are often made of the faith of the forefathers of our nation.
