Don’t Worry, Be Happy
Series: (All)
Matthew 6:25-34
Spring demands a lot of attention. The end of school, the new garden and the seeming annual wedding season require that our energies be directed in a multitude of ways. Our split attention inevitably causes stress and worry at times. Yet we are called to release our worries and to put our focus on God who prides for our every need. It’s a comforting reminder that we are held in the hands of the creator!

    John 19:25-30
After the death and resurrection of Jesus, there was surely a lot of discussion about the last interactions individuals would have had with Jesus just prior to his arrest. Similarly, his last words upon the cross would have led many to wonder about the significance and meaning of his last utterances. We’ll take a brief look at these phrases and some of the lessons we might draw from them.

    The Pitfalls of Superbia
    Series: (All)
    Mark 2:1-5

Many of our church fathers have pointed to this as a great source of sin in all of our lives, and something for us all to take note of in our own lives. We will also be taking a look at the many facets of the life of St. Augustine as well as how we should have awe in the face of Jesus as He was fully human and fully God

    Matthew 25:31-33
Sometimes our characterization of Jesus relies on certain aspects that we find more appealing or helpful in our own understanding of how Jesus interacts and responds to us. Unfortunately, that can also lead to a lack of understanding the full message and role of Jesus in our lives. He is just, in the same way that He is full of grace. He is Christ the King!

    Hebrews 10:11-14
Too often, we vacillate in our lives between rules and freedom. In the church, we at times seem to set up a struggle between the law and grace. The fullness of who Jesus was and is points to necessity of both in our lives. It’s amazing to contemplate the ways in which God’s story unfolds in our lives. From the depths of our souls, we truly marvel at how great thou art!
