Truth Sets Us Free
John 8:31-36
The word truth conveys more than concept, but an anchor by which our lives are given security.  It can be difficult then if we understand truth to be a moving target.  As followers of Christ, we place our lives in the truth claims made in the Bible about our adoption in the family of God.  What does it mean then to live into that truth?

    I Believe…I Think
    Matthew 14:22-31
Our faith is a combination of trust in God and ourselves. Throughout the Bible, we are called to trust in God.  While we seek to do just that, we are too often overcome with that little voice of doubt in our mind.  “Did I really hear the voice of God?”

A Taste as Sweet as Honey
Joshua 1:1-11 Our understanding of Scripture is dependent on our meditation of God’s word. When was the last time you read a book?  Was it for work, for pleasure, or trying to acquire knowledge to better yourself in life?  Most importantly, when was the last time you read Scripture simply for the “delight” of drinking from God’s word?  Join us this week as we explore historically the ways in which Scripture has been conveyed and received throughout the history of the church and how that might inform our own discovery of Scripture.

    I Walk the Line
    Romans 3:21-26
Our understanding of sin and grace color our understanding of God. In the academic world, there is often a distinction between theory and praxis…that is the way we understand things to work versus the way we actually live our lives.  Sin and grace are two areas that shape how we understand God and how we live our lives day to day.  What does it look like to reimagine our perception of God.

    A Crazy Family Tree
    Luke 19:1-9
Our identity in Christ is what marks us and drives our actions and thoughts. It is said that we can’t choose our family, but we can choose our friends.  In the church, we are family in Christ, but we don’t always want to claim each other!  What does it mean for us to claimed by Christ, and what impact does that have on how we respond to the rest of the Body of Christ?

    God Did His Part
    Romans 10:1-13
The door to the Kingdom is open to all who would enter. While there are many distinguishing marks of the Christian faith, the one that continues to confound believer and non-believer is that of grace.  Grace, key to our salvation, is the link between our head and our heart.  It is the encouragement to join in the redemptive work of God in our lives and the world.

    Knowing and Loving
    1 Kings 19:3-9
To know God is to understand He is a personal God. In the midst of the great struggles of life, we can often feel alone and afraid.  The combination can create in us a feeling of despair.  How often though do we look back and recognize that God had provided for us in the midst of “time in the wilderness”?

    The One, The Only!
2 Corinthians 13:11-14 While worship is central to who we say we are as Christians, it carries with itself both risks and rewards!  The implication of following the one true God is both exciting and challenging.  So what exactly are we following?

As believer’s, we have the powerful advocate of God dwelling in us. Our responsibility is to let people see God through us. We are jars of clay; the treasure is from God!
