Sharing Warmth
Children’s Clothes Closet
The Children’s Clothes Closet brings smiles to the faces of children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to own a new pair of socks or a new shirt or dress. Established in 1997 to provide clothing for children living in poverty, it is staffed completely by volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to help collect, sort and distribute clothing, please contact Robbie Brazelton or Sue Wright. The Children's Clothes Closet is open Mondays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Christmas Foster Angel Tree
First United Methodist Church provides Christmas gifts to foster children from names provided by the Ector County Children’s Services. Members purchase and wrap toys and clothes selected from each child’s wish list. The gifts are distributed to the families through the Ector County Children’s Services. To help with this project, select a child’s name on Sunday, November 29 and return the selections on Sunday, December 13.

Mission Messiah
Mission Messiah is a faith based, non-denominational program where women who find themselves in dire situations can go to learn life skills and develop spiritual strengths before starting a new life back in the community. The mission is in need of after-school tutors for the children as well as general supplies for the mission. If you are interested in helping tutoring a child or donating supplies, please contact Suzy Wiggins.
