Jeb Harris

Jeb Harris is currently an Associate Choir Director at Permian High School having previously taught at Wilson and Young. Mr. Harris is an Odessa native who graduated from Odessa High School. He holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education Cum Laude from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin as well as an Associates of Arts in Music from Odessa College where he was pleased to perform in musicals and operas, playing roles such as Toby in Sweeney Todd and Rodolfo in La Boheme. Upon graduation, Mr. Harris was honored with the TMEA Collegiate Music Educator Award. He has also been involved at the Permian Playhouse both playing in shows such as Glowena and A Little Night Music as well as musically directing The Fantasticks. In addition, he enjoys accompanying choirs and soloists and was honored to accompany the 2018 All-Region Middle School Tenor-Bass Chorus. Jeb was formerly the Minister of Music at Cumberland Presbyterian in Odessa, TX for four years.
 

Jeb is very excited to join the staff at First Methodist having sung in the choir since 2013, and was a Scholarship Singer for his five years of college. He appreciates First Methodist’s investment in him and other singers to reach their full potential and doing so in a Christ centered atmosphere.
