WORSHIP

We were created to worship.
As a church, we are called to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.
We are to love the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength.
To lack the Spirit results in a lifeless faith, and to lose the truth leads to an errant faith;
both are necessary.  God the Father seeks worshipers such as these –
who both adore Him and hold fast to what He has revealed to us.

At First Methodist Odessa we incorporate a Traditional style of worship. Sunday mornings is a Traditional Style of Worship with occasional contemporary elements. Also upon occasion we have a Contemporary Worship Night with a praise band or a guest leader. The Lord is not concerned with our style but by the content of our worship and the condition of our hearts. In both styles, we strive to worship the Lord in a way that is timeless and declares the whole counsel of God to the people of God Creation, Redemption, and Re-creation.

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP

9:00am Sunday in the Sanctuary

Our Traditional worship is led by our Sanctuary Choir
under the direction of our Minister of Music, David Corman.
The service follows the Methodist Liturgy
including elements such as an Introit, Call to Worship,
and the singing of hymns, and corporate Prayer.
