WORSHIP
We were created to worship. As a church, we are called to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. We are to love the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength. To lack the Spirit results in a lifeless faith, and to lose the truth leads to an errant faith; both are necessary. God the Father seeks worshipers such as these – who both adore Him and hold fast to what He has revealed to us.
At FUMC we practice both a Traditional and Contemporary style of worship. The Lord is not concerned with our style but by the content of our worship and the condition of the worshipers’ hearts. In both styles, we strive to worship the Lord in a way that is timeless and declares the whole counsel of God to the people of God – Creation, Redemption, and Re-creation.
TRADITIONAL WORSHIP
Our Traditional worship is led by a robust praise choir under the direction of Music Minister, David Corman. The service follows the Methodist liturgy, including elements such as an introit, call to worship, the singing of hymns, and corporate prayer.
9:00am Sunday in the Sanctuary.
CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
Our Contemporary worship is led by a contemporary worship team and our Worship Leader, Jeb Harris. The service is a fusion of modern worship songs, Scripture readings, and other elements such as confession, church creeds, and corporate prayer.
11:00am Sundays in the Sanctuary.
